Hello everyone, in this tutorial I’ll discuss about how to configuration GUI management access with https and custom port. This configure is very useful when you start deployment the  fortigate to more secure access.

To configure that, select on System -> Settings -> Administration Settings. Here’s the default settings.

Don’t forget to enable https administrative access on the Port1 (WAN).

Configure HTTPS Port with custom port. In the HTTPS server certificate Create New Certificate for GUI Access.

On the Create Certificate section, Select Generate Certificate

Enter the Certificate Name with the Name of Certificate will used. On the common name enter the valid ip address management or FQDN fortigate.

Last Select OK

Now test access from web browser with the https port and custom port that has config before. https://ipaddress:customport

Select Accept the Risk and Continue

Configuration https access with custom port fortigate is successful
